Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, and using the STAGR application ("App"), developed and operated by STAGR (Package Name: com.sinfynx.stagr), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use STAGR. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Account & Authentication

To access the full features of STAGR, you must create an account using one of the following methods:

• Google Sign-In: OAuth2 authentication via your Google account (only your name, email, and profile photo are accessed).
• Email & Password: Standard registration through Supabase Auth.
• Guest Mode: Limited access without an account - you may browse but cannot post Moments, create Plans, or interact socially.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately at contact@stagr.in if you suspect unauthorized use.

4. Content Ownership & License

You retain full ownership of all photos, videos, text, and other content ("User Content") that you post to STAGR, including Moments, comments, and ratings.

By posting User Content, you grant STAGR a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and publicly display your User Content solely for the purpose of operating, improving, and promoting STAGR. This license terminates when you delete your content or your account.

All uploaded media is stored on EnderChest, a custom CDN service operated by STAGR. When you delete a Moment, the associated media is permanently removed from the CDN.

5. Prohibited Content & Conduct

To ensure STAGR remains a safe, authentic, and trustworthy platform, you agree not to post content or engage in conduct that is:

• Violent, graphically abusive, or promotes self-harm.
• Sexually explicit or pornographic.
• Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination targeting any individual or group.
• Spam, unauthorized advertising, or fraudulent material.
• Infringing on the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
• Impersonation of another person or entity.
• Intentionally misleading or false location data, reviews, or ratings.
• Automated or bot-generated content or interactions.

Users can utilize the Report & Block functionality within the app to flag prohibited content. STAGR reserves the right to review and remove any content that violates these Terms.

6. App Features & Services

STAGR provides the following core features:

• Moments: Geo-tagged, photo-first posts about real-world places across three categories - Escape, Taste, and Stay.
• Feed & Discovery: A personalized, proximity-based feed powered by our custom Ranking Engine.
• Plans: Collaborative trip itineraries where you can group Moments with friends.
• Bucket List: A personal wishlist of places to visit.
• Social Features: Follow system, comments, ratings, saves, and sharing.
• Notifications: Real-time push alerts for follows, comments, ratings, and saves.

Features may be updated, modified, or discontinued at our discretion as the platform evolves.

7. Permissions

STAGR requests the following device permissions, each with a clear purpose:

• Camera: To capture photos and videos for Moments.
• Photo Library: To select existing photos for Moments and profile avatars.
• Location (Foreground Only): To geo-tag Moments and power the proximity-based feed. No background tracking.
• Push Notifications: To deliver alerts for social interactions.

All permissions are optional. Denying a permission may limit certain functionality, but the app will continue to operate with available features.

8. Intellectual Property

The STAGR name, logo, branding, design, code, ranking algorithms, and all proprietary technology are the exclusive intellectual property of STAGR. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from any part of the STAGR platform without explicit written permission.

9. Termination

STAGR reserves the right to suspend, disable, or permanently terminate your account without prior notice if you are found to be in violation of these Terms, particularly regarding:

• Sharing prohibited or harmful content.
• Abusive, harassing, or fraudulent behavior.
• Attempting to manipulate the ranking system or game engagement metrics.
• Creating multiple accounts for deceptive purposes.

You may also voluntarily delete your account at any time, which will initiate a cascade deletion of all your data and media.

10. Limitation of Liability

STAGR is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to ensure a high-quality experience, we make no warranties or guarantees regarding:

• The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of user-generated content and recommendations.
• The continuous, uninterrupted availability of the App or its services.
• The safety, quality, or legality of any real-world location or experience discovered through STAGR.

STAGR shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the App, including but not limited to any real-world experiences undertaken based on content found within STAGR.

11. Privacy

Your use of STAGR is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data. By using STAGR, you consent to the data practices described therein.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of STAGR after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
